Inhabiting Spacesis the art public programme 2021-2022 conceived by the recognised charity Latin Elephant. In collaboration with leading UK art institutions including Gasworks, South London Gallery, TATE and supported by the Arts Coucil England, this programme aimed at enabling access, explore creativity and increase participation in arts by the Latin American communities in the UK. Inhabiting Spaces consisted of two main programmes, ‘Working Disobedience from Latin America’and ‘Right to Inhabit’which were developed in some cases in-person in London and, in others, presented online for a global audience. Latin Elephant’s art programme was supported by the generosity of the Arts Council England which recognised the value of this programme in the impact it would have for the Latin American community in the UK, by strengthening Latin-American audiences and increasing the community’s confidence while enabling their access and participation in the arts and cultural scene of the UK.
