Local Traders in Elephant and Castle who will be losing their stalls and units when the Elephant and Castle shopping closes at the end of September have come up with their own proposal for alternative premises at the Elephant.
The traders’ proposals are for new stalls to be sited around the Faraday Memorial, by the railway arches along Archer St and outside the new Elephant Arcade, at the bottom of Perronet House.
This Proposal has been put together between traders and Latin Elephant, in collaboration the wider Up the Elephant Campaign, and has been devised by Alice Chilangwa Farmer.
The proposal has been presented to Southwark Councillors, Cabinet Members and Officers, London Assembley Members and the Mayor of London.
